The youth from the Provo City Center Temple district have spent the past
several months rehearsing for this grand celebration.
4,500 youth to exact.
It was fantastic!
Our daughter Cammy was part of this event
dancing in the segment "Sing, Sing, Sing" made famous in the 1940's
by the Glen Miller Orchestra.
It was Fun, Fun, Fun!
Cammy is right in the middle (by herself) of the yellow group at the top of the photo.
Such a neat variety of numbers interspersed by a beautiful narration and multimedia photo presentation telling the history of the original tabernacle; the people who shared their own history inside it's walls, and the tragedy of the fire that destroyed it.
The Marriott Center on the BYU campus was packed.
Not a dry eye in the house as the finale celebrated the new temple that had literally
risen from the ashes and would be dedicated as a House of the Lord the following morning.
Our family, having our own history and special connection to the original tabernacle,
were humbled and thrilled to be able to take part in the dedication inside the walls of
this exquisite new temple. Cammy had to express her joy for the Spirit and the Sunshine
as we exited after the ceremony.
Holiness to the Lord.
