19 years ago. Spring Break trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Back in the day when our girls were all in school,
Spring Break was the much anticipated week to go on a vacation.
We didn't always go on a trip.
Sometimes we would do what is termed a 'staycation'
where we stayed home but did fun activities or even day trips.
Those were wonderful times.
With only one left in school things have changed.
Cammy is easy going and just prefers spending quiet days with me.
And so we spent a very pleasant and peaceful week together.
We kicked off the week by enjoying LDS General Conference
and celebrating Coryn's April 6th birthday.
I wanted to spotlight this darling cake-topper.
My friend Olivia made this and she has the most darling
shop on Etsy where she sells her creations.
Even celebrities have purchased her party wares.
You can visit her shop HERE.
At the crack of dawn on Saturday morning
a red tornado, also known as Caitlyn, blew into town
with a couple of girlfriends from her YSA ward.
After sleeping at our home for a few hours the girls headed to
Salt Lake City for a wedding
and Cait spent the rest of the day with us.
We headed to downtown Provo for a stroll and dropped in at
the Bijou Bazaar.
We also checked up on the progress of the new
Provo City Center Temple.
As Cait's birthday had been three days before
we held our celebration for her that day.
In honor of our singer/songwriter I used this tablecloth
which was last eaten on by Imagine Dragons when I
managed the greenroom at Rooftop Concerts.
Caitlyn was delighted by that little tidbit.
The young man Cait has been dating happened to be in SLC
visiting extended family,
so he joined us for the celebration.
Fun to have the whole family at the table again.
And then, as swiftly as she flew in she flew out.
Back to LaLa Land.
And just as the spring brings its blossoms,
I realize my girls are blossoming into their own lives.
And all is as it should be.
