Some BBC Pop Culture in London

Yes, Doctor Who fans.
We found the Tardis.
A little worse for wear,
But there in all her glory:)

It was locked however,
so we were unable to confirm
that it is bigger on the inside.

Of course this Saturday is the big anniversary!

Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman
as the Eleventh Doctor and companion Clara.
Aren't they cute?

St. Bart's Hospital in London
This building will mean nothing to you
unless you have watched the last two seasons of
BBC's Sherlock.

photo Court
Court was beside herself with glee to visit the actual
Speedy's Cafe
where scenes from Sherlock are filmed.
We enjoyed a tasty lunch there.

This is the actual door they use for 221B

The brilliant stars of Sherlock:
Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch

And of course we had to visit the iconic Baker Street.
Loved how the tube station was thematically decorated.

Coincidentally, a movie poster of Benedict's new film role
was in the station.

Tile motif along the walls of the station.

Mrs. Hudson, Sherlock's landlady,
has her own tea shoppe and restaurant.

And who can resist a photo with a handsome bobby?
And a ginger, to boot:)

A fictitious character?

Court takes these things very seriously.

“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outer results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”
― Arthur Conan DoyleThe Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
