Excellent Emma

Masterpiece Theatre just finished it's three-part run of this new version of Jane Austen's "Emma". I loved it! I liked the use of flashbacks to help remind the viewer of particular moments that applied to the current situation in the story. It was well-cast. I particularly liked Mr. Knightly (Jonny Lee Miller). If you missed it, the DVD is out on Tuesday.

Mr. Nightly was my favorite as well. I never grow tired of Jane Austen!

It was really well done, Emma's kind of a nerd messing with peoples lives like that. The dad (Michael Gambon) was one of my favorite characters. I loved how afraid he was of germs and sugar and everything.
